All of our events reflect the Dean of Students’ commitment to fostering a culture of care in the òòò½Ö±²¥ community, increasing knowledge around critical resources and forms of support for students, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for all.
Breakfast Club
Show care for the community by cleaning up local off-campus neighborhoods for an hour each Sunday during home game football weekends. Volunteers meet at 10:30 a.m. and are given gloves, a trash bag, a òòò½Ö±²¥ Breakfast Club t-shirt, and a sense of fellowship! Cleanup is followed by a free and tasty meal at Eagle’s Deli, courtesy of the Office of the Dean of Students. For more information, contact offcampus@bc.edu.
Off-Campus Housing Fairs
At our housing fairs, undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in or planning to live off campus can meet with rental agencies, internet providers, furniture rental companies, and more to learn about the off-campus housing market. Swing through!
Lights Off the Heights
During this annual community-building challenge, off-campus students compete for amazing prizes, the title of best holiday spirit, and the Jubilee trophy by decorating the inside or outside of their apartment! To enter your apartment, email offcampus@bc.edu with your off-campus address and roommates’ names.
Deans & Donuts
On the final Friday of every month, we invite students to our office for donuts and to celebrate the end of another month of hard work. We center each event around a different theme with important resources, guest visitors, and raffle trivia to match it!
Mile 21 Sign-Making Event
We provide the crafting supplies, you provide the enthusiasm and athletic spirit! The Friday before Marathon Monday we take over the Maloney Hall 4th floor lobby for students, faculty, and staff to make posters cheering on peers, friends, family, and legends running the Boston Marathon. Come for the crafts and stay for the snacks, marathon trivia, health and safety resources, giveaways, and demonstrations!
House Visits
At important times of the year, undergraduate students living off campus between Lake Street and South Street can expect our staff to stop by, check in, and drop off some treats! Not home when we come by? No worries—we’ll leave the treats at your door!Â
Dinner with the Deans
These monthly dinners hosted by our staff for different parts of the student body give us chance to break bread with you and hear about what's going on in your lives, from courses to life outside òòò½Ö±²¥. It’s a fun way to connect and get a better sense of how we can serve you. Â
Taste of Off-Campus
This is the signature welcome back event for off-campus students every fall! Dozens of local restaurants and eateries provide food samples, menus, and coupons for students to browse and enjoy. Stop by to enjoy free food, drink, t-shirts, tote bags, and great information about life off campus!
