Dean’s Council

Members of our Dean’s Council play an important role in shaping the future of òòò½Ö±²¥ Law. To show our appreciation for gifts of $2,500 or more, òòò½Ö±²¥ Law invites Dean’s Council members to special events and receptions throughout the year, from the annual Dean’s Council Reception during Reunion Weekend to campus events featuring accomplished leaders from the legal profession and other fields.

Named for renowned English Renaissance lawyer and scholar St. Thomas More, whom Pope John Paul II called “the heavenly patron of statesmen and politicians.â€

Named for former òòò½Ö±²¥ Law Dean Richard G. Huber, whose tenure was marked by faculty growth and the acquisition of the Newton campus

Giving level: $25,000 to $49,999

Named for Emil Slizewski ’43, òòò½Ö±²¥ Law’s beloved professor whose half century of service was noted for excellence in teaching and research.

Recognition:

Student scholar named in honor of a current-use gift to the Law School Fund at this level. Donors are invited to meet their scholar during the course of the year.

($1,500 or more for alumni four or fewer years following graduation; $2,000 or more for alumni five to nine years)

Named for òòò½Ö±²¥ Law’s first dean, Dennis A. Dooley, whose vision laid the foundation for òòò½Ö±²¥ Law.

Recognition:

Invitation to the annual Dean’s Council Reception.

The Drinan SocietyÌý

The Drinan Society recognizes loyal donors who have made gifts to Boston College Law School for two or more consecutive years. It also recognizes sustaining members, who have given for five or more years.

The society is named for Robert F. Drinan, S.J., dean of Boston College Law School from 1956 to 1970. Fr. Drinan, a beloved mentor to generations of law students, helped transform òòò½Ö±²¥ Law into a leader in legal education.
